How it all began

In 1995 Sue & Jim Farr made the decision to start ostrich farming. In the wake of the BSE crisis ostrich meat provided the answer to a healthy red meat which could be produced in the quiet countryside surrounding Gamston Wood Farm. After trading at the world famous Borough Market in London for over 16 years the decision was made to bring the focus of our activities back to our local customers.

Our Birds

Our licenced cutting plant is the ideal location for preparing the meats we produce & source. Attention to animal welfare and the use of equally high quality local ingredients means the products we supply are simply the best you can get!
